Conscious Parenting and Anger
Times are changing....so that WE can change. Our most important change is to recognize, occupy and work with ourselves as Energy Beings.
Anger, like all emotions, IS Energy. Learning to work powerfully with anger is the fastest and most direct way to make this shift.

We now have research evidence verifying anger as a "silent killer." Repressed anger is part of the etiology of the development of diseases: diabetes, heart and circulatory illnesses, and cancer. Anger also destroys self-esteem, causes us to develop anxiety and stress, can impact our relationships, and block us from success.

My Chapter 15: Putting Humpty Dumpty Together : Reassembling Life as You Want It
I wrote Chapter 15 as a heartfelt offering to anyone who has ever felt broken beyond repair. With raw honesty and deep self-reflection, I share my journey through emotional abandonment, heartbreak, and the kind of quiet fragmentation that so many of us experience but rarely speak about. My story isn’t just a telling of events—it’s a mirror for those who are longing to remember their own wholeness.
The Humpty Dumpty metaphor I use isn’t just poetic; it reflects a truth I’ve lived. Life has a way of knocking us down, but I believe we each have the power to gather our scattered pieces and rise—stronger, wiser, and more whole than before. That’s why I created a self-care toolkit with six powerful tools to support this healing journey. These tools are gentle guides from shame to self-worth, from fear to focus, from fragmentation to fullness.
It’s my hope that by sharing my story and tools, others will feel less alone and more empowered to step into their own healing with love, intention, and personal responsibility.

Additional Information
Ilene Dillon, MSW, LCSW, LMFT, is a born psychotherapist. She knows healers are not at peak effectiveness unless they’ve healed themselves. Accordingly, Ilene has worked to heal deep wounds, allowing her to help thousands face and survive crises, loss, personal challenges, and emotional crises.
Ilene loves helping people, particularly when changes they create together allow a person’s life to be happier and more rewarding. Thank you to all who have allowed me to “help,” knowing I’ve simultaneously been helped too.
Ilene’s accomplishments are many. She earned her way through 6 years of college, lived as a married, single, step, adoptive and grandmother, developed and ran her therapy business as a solopreneur, became an International Professional Speaker, a 15-year podcast creator/host, and is a frequent podcast and media guest.
She’s the author of Emotions in Motion: Mastering Life’s Built-in Navigation System, a six-time Amazon best-selling author and a pioneering thinker and author in the field of Emotional Literacy.
Ilene’s expertise is Realigning with Emotions by mastering them. She developed Conscious Parenting (1972), discovering how to apply ancient and spiritual principles in everyday life. She’s taught her proprietary courses around the world and across the US. Ilene’s husband, neurosurgeon Dr. Robert Fink, died in early 2016.
At age 74, in 2017, Ilene hit the roads of North America in her 24-foot RV, writing, speaking, and making friends as she explored. Her favorite activities are traveling, organic gardening, helping, writing, and solving deep and vexing human problems.
Challenging lives make us stronger. Ilene’s life prepared her for a large number of things to learn, jammed with lessons that have led her to acknowledged wisdom. Committed to sharing her life’s work for Mastering Emotions, Ilene continues to write, speak, and coach individuals, families, and groups around the world.
